Michael Giacchino

Just my favourite composer of all time. Why is he my favourite composer of all time you ask? Well he combines instruments very well, he's very good at using the right instrument for the right place. He also can invoke emotions marvelously, he mainly composes songs for various films, games, and tv series. He can do an impressive range of styles of music, all perfectly.
He has composed some of the most emotional films out there: Up is probably the most often thought of, it's a film that makes most cry.
Up - Married Life
Also I like this comment: I always read people saying UP is about chasing your dreams, but I feel differently. Muntz went insane in pursuit of his dream, and Fredrickson didn't find happiness by making it to Paradise Falls.
Don't the Carl/Ellie scenes imply greatness isn't the point? It's summed up in a story Russell tells, which ends: "I think it's the boring stuff I remember most." To me, UP says every moment is a treasure. It's less the destination, and more the journey of life that counts.

Michael Giacchino works with Pixar in many other films. Ratatouille is less sad and more romantic and french haha. The songs are still marvelous of course.
Le Fisten - Sung by Camille  (no not Camille Camille, just a Camille)

Further back with Pixar is The Incredibles. Very jazzy pieces, also well done.
The Incredits

He did the soundtrack for Mission Impossible III too, although I haven't seen the film, I like the music
Reperations

And the soundtrack for the new Star Trek, sounds just like an adventure through space.
Enterprising Young Men

A scary song from Cloverfield
Roar!

Work in Alias is upbeat and electronical, not my favourite but still good.
Badenweiler

Music from Medal of Honor is probably at the top of my favourites, basically his best work...
Operation Market Garden

And then there is lost, which is probably my favourite just because the show was so great too...
Life and Death (only song I can play on the piano)
Hollywood and Vines (More orchestral version of Life and Death, with countermelodies)
I may add more later, but there's just too much to add right now and the laziness. =D
Hope you enjoy these songs as much as I do.
